It’s a happy day for this humble blog. We’re proud to announce the inclusion of The Long Long Honeymoon in the Airstream Adventures portion of the mothership Airstream.com website.

It’s been said that Airstream is a little different from other RV brands because Airstream enthusiasts are like a family. I think the “family” concept extends to the factory as well. There’s a symbiotic relationship between the factory and owners that is truly unique. Since the company has been in operation for over 70 years, it has played a major role in family travel for generations. Just as we owners want to see the factory prospering, the factory wants to see us on the road, enjoying our Airstreams, and telling the world all about it.

You can check out a snapshot of our good news below. Better yet, head on over to Airstream.com and look at the site. There are all sorts of cool goodies to be discovered, ranging from hip vintage logo t-shirts to loaded 34-foot travel trailers. I like to visit the site to browse and daydream, not to mention learn more about those iconic travel trailers we all love.

Someday we hope to visit the factory in Jackson Center, Ohio and see the place where all the magic takes place. Did you know that they will service and repair every Airstream ever built? That’s no small feat, considering the lineage. Who knows, maybe someday our Airstream Liv will get those upgrades she so richly deserves.

When we started The Long Long Honeymoon, we were literally just blogging and posting videos for fun. So it’s really gratifying to see our efforts finding an audience. And all the while, we’re still having fun.

We’ve got some exciting adventures planned for 2009, and we’re really grateful to our friends at Airstream for helping us get the year off to a good start!
