How NOT to Sleep in an RV

Posted In: Blog, Product Review, RV Lifestyle, RV Products

From a pure “bang for the buck” standpoint, a simple inexpensive leveling tool such as the Hopkins Graduated Level (http://goo.gl/0XeVGz) is a wise investment for any RV camper.

Everyone needs to camp at an unlevel angle at least one time. Because after you do it the first time, you’ll strive to never do it again.

I recall one particularly unlevel site that my wife and I endured in Kentucky. (Yes, I’m talking about you, Bowling Green KOA). We arrived late in the afternoon after a long day of driving, and were feeling quite tired. So we just quickly parked our rig in the pull-through site and went inside to rest. After staggering around inside our Airstream like a couple of town drunks, we slept the night with our feet tilted in the air, and our heads pointed downhill. Trust me – that’s no way to camp.

Enter the Hopkins Graduated Level. This is a simple leveling tool (available in a two-pack) that can (if you so choose) be permanently affixed to your RV via the included adhesive backing or with screws.

It’s nothing fancy – it’s a leveler equipped with markings to indicate how many inches are required to raise or lower a trailer or vehicle to achieve a level orientation. It’s designed to take the guesswork out of RV leveling.
